This ruined church was built in the 12th century and, according to local tradition, was partially demolished in 1775 by Sir Lyonel Lyde, Lord of the Manor, because it obstructed the view from his house. Sir Lyonel then built the new church dedicated to the same saint. There is an information board by the gate.
